Mechanism to check Plagiarism

Plagiarism check is another important focus that the institution insists for. The institution is committed to prevent the plagiarism in the academic research work. The committee has organised invited talks on ethics in research to create awareness among the students and faculties. Ethics in research is also taught for research scholars, where ethics is an essential part of the Research methodology course work. The Research Cell of the Institution and Periyar University (affiliated university) conducted workshops on URKUND software for the students and faculties to guide and sensitize them towards plagiarism.

To prevent plagiarism in research

  • The Librarian of the university is authenticated to check the plagiarism and certify the same before the submission of the thesis. The level of plagiarism decided to be allowed was fixed as per the University norms, since the research programmes do not come under autonomous status.
